We could see many kind of arts in Yale University Art Gallery.
The displayd arts are wide range from ancient to modern, contemporary, from Europa to Asia, Africa.
First, I was surprised at the policy of musiam for visitors that we can take a photo any place you want. Besids, the displayd pictures weren't covered with any protect. So we can watch them directly. This situation was diffirent from Japan. In Japan, my country, pictures are protected by the plastic case or galas.
This is "First Step" by Pablo Picasso. Although I could see a lot of pictures, Picasso's pictures were so attractive for me. Those has an overwhelming presence, those are far superior to other pictures.
The musium also has a lot of Japanese pictures and sculpture, like fugurine ("Okimono" in Japanese). These are made from ivory.
This is a picture on a folding screen("Byoubu-Ga" in Japanese). It represents people who stay and play at coast of Edo city, former name of Tokyo.
Anyway I had good experience through visiting the musium. If I have more time I would visit again.
